Flattie Rod
After a bit of advice.
Some years ago I bought a shakespear Flattie rod.
I haven't used it yet and am planning on trying it out now.
It's 3.3m and has a CW of 1-3oz.
I suppose its really a spinning rod but I was wondering on the type of reel I should use.
I was going to buy a freshwater FS as the rod is quite light weight.
Any advice?
Many thanks
Paul

What type of reel are you use to ? Fixed spool or Multi ?

Re: Flattie Rod
I have both but prefer fixed at the moment, don't get to use the multipliers often enough to really get good with them. Saying that, I plan on getting some casting practice in and I have a daiwa 6rm that might do the job, or even a shimano fighting star that i have gathering dust... Someone mentioned the shimano 10000 baitrunner might be a good FS... as I said though any advice would be most welcome.
