Deal 1919 Hut on Deal Pier

Last time i was down (many moons ago) the hut looked like it had been vandalised, Has it been repaired ?

There has been an ongoing dispute with the angling club, council and the pier contractors. The contractors did not seal a lot of holes where the pipe work entered the cabin, therefore, water has leaked and damaged the ceiling and walls. As the cabin has electricity it has been deemed advisable to keep it closed.

The contractors have gone bust … so we still await the council’s decision on the matter, as the club pays rent to them for the amenity. It is a great shame that this has happened and is a loss to club members, however, as soon as possible it will be re-opened.

Can be very handy on a wet night, and for the kettle, would be a shame for it to go to waste
