Re: Ragworm
Over here in east kent there are no rag avaiable in commercial quuantities- most of the shops therefore import it from outside the county mainly southampton way I believe although it can be sourced fron southend or sussex.
I find locating quality ragworm a pain as how good it is does vary from week to week. For me the trick with ragworm is buying as soon as possible after it arrives at the tackle shop in that way you can look after it yourself and you have an idea how old it is.
The problem is the shops can keep the ragworm alive for ages at really low temperatures so if its old stock its ok when you buy it but once it warms up or you take it to the beach it deteriorates very quickly.
Two other things to look out for with ragworm if it gets exposed to fresh water it can die very quickly and shops have been know to lose the lot if its been dug in the rain- you can also have trouble keeping ragworm during thunderstorms, i believe changes in air pressure can effect them.

Re: Ragworm
Have had some good rag from D&A angling Rainham.Order in advance.Picked some up Friday 06/05 and was told just come in.Have keep-ed rag from there in the past for up to a week in my beer/wine fridge only set on 1. Tip given by Darren to do this was to wrap each worm individually like you would black lug in newspaper in 10's.Worked for me.
